Currently the employment scenario in India looks quite bleak. The country is facing a serious problem of unemployment, which is a growing concern. An unstable education system in the college level is one of the main reasons for this emerging issue. There are thousands of Indian colleges churning out engineers and graduates by millions every year. But when it comes to securing a good corporate job, most of these graduates fall short of expectations due to lack of knowledge, skills and corporate readiness. Many colleges are turning into capital ventures which do not put the necessary emphasis on quality education. They are producing graduates and engineers who fall short of expectations when it comes to corporate readiness both in terms of skill and talent.
There is a huge gap between what students learn in colleges and the hard reality that awaits them in the competitive corporate industry. Research shows that a large percentage of fresh engineers and graduates face many challenges while applying for a corporate job that match their skills and requirements. Most of them are driven to take up jobs for which they may be over-qualified as they find themselves unprepared for a high-end corporate position.
